We are so excited here at Perfectly CAS to be participating in an Ultimate Blog Hop hosted by Altenew. There are 13 blogs all up and there are amazing prizes to be won!
Sue is the designer representing Perfectly CAS and these are her amazing cards to help inspire you:
Using Altenew's: Everlasting Happiness
I started with an A2 sized panel of Strathmore 140 lb cold press watercolor paper. I heat embossed the floral image using Altenew's Everlasting Happiness stamp set with clear embossing powder. I added color with Michael's Artist Loft watercolor paints pan set, water and a small paint brush. I was trying for a muted effect and used quite a bit of water. When I had harsh lines between the colors, I added more water and blended it out with the brush. I kept adding color and water until I was happy with the card panel. After flattening the panel under some heavy books, I stamped the sentiment using Altenew's Sketchy Floral stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I adhered the panel to a side folding A2 white card base to complete the card.
Using Altenew's: Weekend Doodle
I started this card with a 2" x 3.25" acrylic block. I smooshed distress ink (salty ocean, twisted citron, seedless preserves) onto the acrylic block and then spritzed it with water. I "stamped" the block onto an A2 sized panel of Strathmore 140 lb cold press watercolor paper towards the bottom and left side of the panel. I repeated the process a few times, as I was looking for good ink coverage on the watercolor paper. When dry, I placed it under some heavy books to flatten out. I then stamped the floral image and the sentiment using Altenew's Weekend Doodles stamp set with Versafine Onyx black ink. I adhered the watercolor panel to a side folding A2 white card base to complete the card.
